Created by award-winning Canadian textile artist Julie Sinden of The Love of Colour, this kit takes the magic of indigo in a whole new direction, transforming it into a paste that can be stamped, painted, stencilled or printed directly onto cloth.
Made for makers with a little natural dyeing experience under their belts, the kit includes everything you need to mix your indigo printing paste, along with the ingredients needed to fix the colour to the cloth. Use it with hand-carved blocks, stencils, brushes or simply work freehand to create patterns, marks and one-of-a-kind textiles on fabric, garments and home goods.
The possibilities are wonderfully open-ended: repeat a tiny motif across a piece of linen, carve your own block, paint directly onto cloth or happily ignore perfection altogether.
Detailed instructions walk you through the process, and everything comes tucked inside a recyclable kraft box, silk-screened by hand.
